Eventos supported the organization of the international AIS25 conference
Event management was smooth from start to finish with Eventos tools when the University of Oulu hosted the 47th Association for Interdisciplinary Studies conference in June 2025.
AIS25 conference's theme was ”Shaping the Future in the Era of Polycrisis”and it brought together experts in interdisciplinary research from around the world at the Linnanmaa campus.
The organizers aimed to deliver a high-quality event where website and abstract management, registration, and communication could all be handled easily within a single system. Eventos was chosen as the solution, with its Admin and Planner tools supporting every stage of the conference organization.
Registration and communication in one place
Eventos Admin served as the core for conference registration and participant communication. The system enabled customized registration forms and payment options for different participant groups. Important reminders, program updates, and pre-event information were sent through Admin.
According to participant feedback, the registration process was clear and communication was up to date, which improved the participant experience and reduced the number of inquiries for the organizers.
The abstract process and program planning were handled efficiently
Managing abstracts can be demanding for scientific event organizers. Eventos Planner handled the entire abstract process for the AIS25 conference—from submission and review to final acceptance.
The system coordinated reviewers’ work, collected comments and scores, and enabled efficient and transparent decision-making. Accepted sessions were transferred directly into program building, which simplified scheduling and ensured that content was ready for publication. This gave organizers confidence that the program was both high in quality and technically well managed.
The website was built on the same platform
The conference website was created using Eventos’ built-in website editor, on the same platform as registration and abstract management. This made building the site effortless, and ensured that the content, program, and registration links formed a unified, seamless experience.
According to the organizers, the editor was fast and intuitive to use. Up-to-date event pages ensured that participants could find all the information they needed in one place.
Eventos is a great tool for scientific conferences
The AIS25 conference demonstrated that Eventos provides excellent support for organizing large-scale scientific events. When key tools are available in a single system, organizers can work efficiently and participants are also satisfied.
The organizing team praised the smooth collaboration and expert support services. Eventos also enabled quick changes to schedules and content, which was important for the success of the international event.
“In Eventos, it was easy and straightforward to manage the overall scientific conference. We found it especially valuable that the entire process—from creating the website and receiving abstracts to review, communication, and registration—was handled on a single platform. We also appreciate how smoothly the Eventos team provided support whenever needed, both for large and small platform-related questions.”, says Heidi Peuraniemi, expert in interdisciplinary research and education at the University of Oulu
