Eventos improves the participant experience at the Finnish Psychiatric Association’s events
Eventos, with its wide range of features, is an excellent event tool for a development-focused association
The Finnish Psychiatric Association chose Eventos to streamline the production process of its trainings and events, especially the Psychiatrist Days. The association aims to promote the conditions for scientific and professional psychiatric work as well as mental health work. The Psychiatrist Days is the association’s largest training event, held twice a year.
Seamless experience for organizers and participants
The association aimed to reduce the workload of event organization by simplifying tasks such as invoicing, registration, badge printing, and communication.
In addition, the goal was to create a smooth partner sales process and enable value-added services. Efforts were also made to increase convenience for participants and registrants.
Eventos supports both virtual and on-site participants
The Finnish Psychiatric Association chose Eventos because it is a versatile and easy-to-use application that helps optimize event management and the participant experience.
“Eventos scales according to our needs and enables continuous development of both our events and the customer experience in our trainings, taking into account participants both on-site and remotely,” says Mia Wahlstedt-Askolin , the association’s marketing and communications manager.
Event management in one place
Practical arrangements became easier in many ways, as event registration, order tracking, partner stand sales, visitor badge printing, event app implementation, and mass communication to participants were all handled from a single platform.
For event participants, the app provided an easy way to register and the option to choose the most suitable payment method, either by invoice or at the time of purchase.
The browser-based Eventos App provided not only event information but also the ability to watch live streams and recordings from the days participants had registered for. The Message Wall was also heavily used, allowing both in-person and remote participants to take part in discussions on equal terms and ask questions to speakers.
Professional support and flexibility for customization
The system’s flexibility was particularly important in order to maintain certain practices, such as handling discount categories. Wahlstedt-Askolin also values the support received from the team:
“The expertise and approachability of the Eventos team are valuable resources and enablers for us in our goal of developing our events to be more conference-like, while still clearly maintaining their own identity.”
Effective collaboration
“Event organization and the participant experience have been streamlined together with the Eventos team, but the drive for development has not diminished. This is also acknowledged by Akseli Hietala from Eventos:
“The association’s willingness and ability to develop its event processes has been admirably bold. It is common to encounter situations where things are done as they have always been done. In this case, every question has been presented to us in the form: ‘How would you do this?’ This has opened the door to good discussions and constructive dialogue. We have been left with a genuine desire to develop both events and the processes related to them.”
